Great little Filipino restaurant, situated near the Queens mall. After a day of shopping got a quick bite to eat. Food and drink was well prepared.

Context: I am half Filipina and tall (so don't always read as Filipina) and I brought my white male friend with me. We were in Queens for some errands a couple weeks ago so I wanted to support a Filipino restaurant and was craving some crispy sisig for lunch. I ordered the sisig, he got the pork lumpia. The lumpia was great. The sisig was very soft and not crispy at all, though it came out on a sizzling plate. It looked slightly gray in color. I asked the waitress if they could maybe cook it more to make it more crispy / well done and she said she thinks I was thinking of the other kind of sisig – a more meaty kind that's got some lechon, whereas theirs is more traditional. But I did notice that although the plate was sizzling, it was barely hot enough to cook the egg that was on top of the meat, even when I stirred it around. After my request that it be cooked a little more, the sisig was just as soft when the plate got returned to me. Even traditional sisig is supposed to be crispy and soft together. I tried to eat it, but it just wasn't my thing so didn't get through much of it. But that night, multiple hours later, I had GI issues and threw up a bit. So I think the s

The food was excellent and at a very good price range. I ended up eating way more than I should have mainly because it was just that delicious. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be coming back. It was only more money because we bought a lot extra.

If you're craving for some home cook Filipino meal, this would be the place to be if you're in Queens, NY. Ms. Ai and staff are very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

My friends and I stopped by Filipiniana Restaurant and Catering recently, drawn in by the promise of some of our favorite Filipino street food. The place is small, so definitely make a reservation if you plan on going, as there are only a few tables. We ordered a selection of dishes, including the skewers, sisig, and bulalo. While the food isn't the best Filipino cuisine I've ever had, it certainly hits the spot when you're craving some classic flavors. The bulalo was the standout dish—warm, flavorful, and the best of what we ordered. The skewers were just okay, but we appreciated that the staff quickly brought us extra sauce when we asked. The sisig, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to our hopes; we were really looking for that specific, crispy flavor you find in Pampanga-style sisig. Service was nice and friendly throughout our meal. Overall, if you're looking for a quick fix for Filipino street food classics, this place will do the job!
